Design and Distribution Obligation

In doing so, DDO intends to assist retail consumers obtain the appropriate retail financial products by requiring product issuers and distributors to have a consumer-centric approach to designing and distributing retail financial products.

Target Market Determination

DDO requires issuers of retail financial products to develop and publish a Target Market Determination (TMD). A TMD describes the class of retail consumer that comprises the target market for a retail financial product.

Australian Catholic Superannuation has two retail financial products: Superannuation and Pension.
